State Requirement updates for 2018:
- There will not be any questions about the amount of time spent reading or number of books read on the survey to the state. It will, however, ask for the number of participants in whatever you call the Summer Program: the number of kids who sign up for a log and come back to turn in the log on a different day. Logs can be kept and logged by the library, it does not have to be taken home. A person can only be counted once no matter how many logs you allow them to complete.
- The survey for kids and teens to complete will stay the same. We want to see change over time. The survey is available here
- The total number of programs/events for the summer will be on the survey. It will not be broken down by month this year. The total number of attendees will be asked for as well. A person who comes to multiple programs does count once for each program.
- There will be a question about outreach. OCL askes that libraries reach out to at least 2 programs serving unserved or underserved kids/teens.
